House Rules

De Beatriks belongs to all of us. We want everyone to always feel welcome and free here, so:

Be kind to each other
Racism, sexism, transphobia or harassment? Zero tolerance. See something off? Report it at the bar or to the crew. Other than that, our rules are pretty standard: no drugs, no weapons.

Listen to our Bea’s
Our team of Bea’s are volunteers. They do their very best to make it a great night and are here to help you. Don’t give them a hard time—give them a high five.

We’ve got drinks waiting for you
Leave your sixpack in the fridge at home. Our Barbea’s are happy to pour you something tasty. Under 18? Then of course it’s soft drinks only (and we’ve always got plenty of those).

Smoking and vaping outside
And remember—we’ve got neighbors who aren’t on the guest list. Be mindful when you’re having a smoke outside.

The stage is for the artists
Unless you’re booked or invited, then: shine on.

Respect the space
Nobody likes cleaning up, and cleaning up after someone else is even worse. We like to keep things tidy, so do your part: put trash in the bin, cups in the cup bin, and keep the place easy to move around in.

Photos? Ask first
Some artists prefer no cameras, and not every visitor wants to end up in your camera roll. If you film/photograph, do it discreetly and without a flash cannon.

Of course, we also take photos (much easier for you—you can just keep dancing). When you enter, please be aware that you might be photographed. You’ll find our photos on our website. Don’t want to appear in them? Let the photographer know.

Come as you are, dance as you feel
The Bea is a safe space for everyone. Make room for each other and let everyone be free.
