The Boojums + Ripship + MARYSCOOVY

FRIDAY 17 APR

KODAK Digital Still Camera

DOORS OPEN 20:00 | START PROGRAM 20:30

Formed in late 2024 and known for blasting fuzzed-out live VHS tapes onto Reddit, Instagram, and YouTube, The Boojums carved out their own corner of chaos fast. Raw. Unfiltered. Nostalgic, yet leaning hard into the future. Their music snaps between scrappy garage grit and punchy power-pop hooks. All of it buzzing with a feverish analog edge that feels a little reckless – and very alive. Recorded live off the floor, their debut album channels themes of small-town escape, personal reckoning, and full-throttle freedom. A band that doesn’t polish the noise, but fucking celebrates it.

Ripship

New Zealand sci-fi psych-rock duo Ripship have been questing to become the loudest two-piece band in the Southern Hemisphere. With a room-
shaking live performance, Ripship have been the headliners of multiple nation-wide tours across New Zealand and openers for rock royalty such as Jack White and Osees.

Every Ripship song is a unique trip: sugary hooks wax and wane to reveal infinite polyrhythmic grooves and growling guitars. Lyrics that loop in infinite recursion spell omens for the end of the world. In a quirky and nerdy, art terrorism, kind of way.

MARYSCOOVY

From a small, moldy kitchen in a tiny Frisian village, a mischief of drunk rats prepares another crunchy, fuzzed-out garage-psych-punk sandwich, finished with their own special sauce. It’s chaotic, intens and mutated. It might be better not to ask the cook any further questions.
