Dat we wandelen zonder einde. Dat we niks te zeggen hebben. Dat we in stilte konden bestaan.
(May we walk without end. May we have nothing of note. May we exist in silence)
Gloom, melancholy and non-existential feelings define the dutch coldwave trio Desinteresse. After the release of two home-recorded cassettes and a 7” single came their debut album ‘Onschuld’. Sounds of a bygone past, exclusively using analog gear. Identity and expression, the minimalistic way.
Come hang out to doubt everything you thought you know.
mesofauna does not take you on a journey. No, they’ll drag you along. The three-headed electro-punk formation is a reminder of the fact that music should be enjoyed. With at times screeching, sometimes laid-back vocals, the trio moves effortlessly between pop and noise with strict discipline. With angular beats, groovy basslines and guitar-screeches, these creepers from the underground craft dark dance-floor hits for invertebrates sized circa 0.1-2.0mm.
Musically, the band alludes to Vive La Fête, the hardstyle remixes of D.A.F, and a mix of gabber, hardcore punk and wonky techno bangers à la T. Raumschmiere.
